Lavender Foot Salve: A Soothing Remedy for Tired Feet

Lavender, known for its calming and soothing properties, can be a wonderful remedy for tired, aching feet. Here's a simple recipe for a Lavender Foot Salve that can help soothe and refresh your feet after a long day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of carrier oil (such as olive oil or coconut oil)

  • 1/4 cup of beeswax pellets

  • 10-15 drops of lavender essential oil

Steps

  1. In a double boiler, gently heat the carrier oil and beeswax pellets until the beeswax completely melts.

  2. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.

  3. Add the lavender essential oil to the mixture and stir well.

  4. Pour the mixture into small tins or jars and let it cool completely. The salve will solidify as it cools.

  5. To use, apply a small amount to your feet, especially on the soles and any particularly achy areas. For best results, apply before bed and wear socks to help the salve absorb.

*Note: Always do a patch test before using a new essential oil or applying a new product to your skin, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting new herbal remedies, especially if you have any health conditions or are taking other medications.
