Sweet & Spicy Omega Nut Mix

Nuts are high in calories but contain good fats that the body needs for optimal function. You don’t need to eat much as they can keep you satiated; the trick is to enjoy them slowly. This nut mix makes a great snack, especially when you need a little pick-me-up since it contains omega-3 fatty acids.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Brazil nuts

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • 1 cup cashews

  • 1 cup almonds

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds

  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup maple syrup

  • 2 teaspoons cumin

  • 1/4 to 1/2 chili flakes

  • Sea salt to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat over to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and toss to incorporate the spices.

  3. Bake in the oven until golden brown.

  4. Set aside to cool.
