Molasses

Molasses are good for cooking and baking, making them a good substitute for white sugar since they are less sweet and offer more nutrients, especially B vitamins. Nonetheless, they are still sugar and should be used in moderation.

I learned throughout the years maintaining a healthy lifestyle is so much easier when you don’t restrict yourself but rather make better choices and find better solutions. When I decided to cut down my white sugar consumption over a decade again due to health issues like inflammation and fatigue, I used molasses as a white sugar substitute. That was the beginning of my mastering the art of substituting ingredients.

Highlighted Benefits

Molasses contain magnesium, calcium, potassium, iron, choline, zinc, and vitamins B3, B5, and B6, which makes them a much better substitute for white sugar. They also contain antioxidants that help protect against DNA damage.
